The Down Syndrome Foundation
A summer camp for youth with Down Syndrome.
The Down Syndrome Foundation wanted to upgrade from a one-dimensional site to a responsive and modern website that better represented their mission. A&D was tasked with crafting a user-experience (UX) that would improve online efficiencies for both employees and users. We focused on moving camper registration online, creating visually appealing designs, and doing away with antiquated pen-and-paper systems. These activities led the way for a more robust and purposeful site.
A&D’s Digital Marketing Team (DMT) engaged in a comprehensive research and discovery phase in order to execute strategies and tactics that would increase organic traffic through search engine optimization (SEO), and create a website that was up to date on the latest digital marketing strategies. Once the initial analysis was complete, DMT worked in tandem with the internal UI/UX team to design a site crafted specifically for The Down Syndrome Foundation’s online users.
“The hands-on experience, excellent customer service, and willingness to listen to what we want and make that happen are what stand out about Ackmann & Dickenson.” – Angie Kniss, President of the Down Syndrome Foundation
The Down Syndrome Foundation’s new web property features an intuitive and fully responsive user experience. PayPal integration ensures privacy and security for parents and donors alike. Camp registration is now administered online and, with the use of PayPal, offers a unified experience for sign-up and payment. Campers, counselors, parents, and donors also have a centralized location to access information. Internally, 90% of the Down Syndrome Foundation’s workflows and processes have migrated online, freeing up valuable resources and time.
