Rembrandt Foods wanted to increase its brand awareness and market share in domestic and international egg markets. As a first step, they turned to Ackmann & Dickenson to design and develop a new website. Requirements at the top of their list included modern web features, a responsive interface, optimized user experience, image-centric design, and focus on job opportunities. The client also hoped site visitors would consume and actively engage with more content.
A&D’s Internet Marketing Team (IMT) undertook a comprehensive research and discovery phase to inform strategies that would increase organic search traffic and improve site engagement. A new sitemap was crafted that streamlined navigation, content, and image layouts. A&D selected WordPress as the open-source Content Management System (CMS) thereby enabling the client to readily update site content as new products emerged.
The updated web property features an intuitive and fully responsive user experience that differentiates Rembrandt Foods from the competition. A&D implemented Google Analytics tracking on PDF downloads, newsletter sign-ups, and contact form submissions to improve visibility on the ROI of marketing initiatives. Additional tracking on featured marketing areas and calls to action allow Rembrandt Foods to see which messages resonate with their target audience. Since site launch, organic search traffic increased 40% and average pages viewed per visit nearly doubled.
