Mid-Level Software Engineer

Ackmann & Dickenson (A&D) is a strategic technology consulting company located in the Minneapolis warehouse district. We believe in craftsmanship and technology for the sake of business. A&D is actively seeking a passionate, pragmatic programmer that will work closely with clients and team members to design and implement software solutions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with Groovy/Grails, Java, PHP or Python
  • 1-3 years Ruby on Rails experience (show us something you’ve built)
  • 1-3 years designing object-oriented JavaScript applications
  • Strong understanding of web application architecture
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Fluent in HTML and CSS
  • Exposure to version-control tools
  • Understanding of (or desire to learn) unit and functional testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • PHP development experience
  • Knowledge of existing NoSQL technologies
  • Understanding of Rich Internet Applications
  • Experience building and interacting with REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of *nix environments
  • Understanding of Agile development
  • Mobile development experience
