Challenge:

To establish an updated web presence that better targeted their preferred client and reflected the quality of the services SBS provides.   Survey & Ballot Systems were finding that they were being approached by clients looking for types of surveys that they didn’t provide, and not being approached by clients who wanted what they did provide: a secure online elections process for companies and organizations to better connect with their members.

Approach:

Ackmann & Dickenson engaged in a website redesign with the goal of updating design while keeping brand assets intact, creating a system wherein their marketing department could maintain and update content changes, and optimizing the site for search engines as a base point moving forward.  SBS’s current strong brand assets were leveraged in order to establish an equally strong web brand presence.   Elements from the logo were repeated throughout the site, utilizing their brand color palette and speech bubble imagery to create a cohesive and focused brand message.  Phase two of the project included an upgrade of calls to action and site usability, as well a page dedicated to providing visitors with useful resources pertaining to member elections and voting.

Outcome:

Survey and Ballot Systems’ new web presence shows off their savvy in the realm of election management with a solid brand throughout.   Their site features stronger calls to action and a focused message on who they are and what they do.  Since taking over management of their search engine marketing efforts, SBS has seen a 150% increase in overall search traffic, including a nearly 200% increase in non-branded traffic. Additionally, their paid search campaigns have seen over a 50% decrease in cost per lead, while lead volume has more than doubled.
