Challenge:
To update the web presence of a local bar and restaurant to reflect their wide gamut of offerings and atmosphere of camaraderie. A favorite hang-out for A&D, The Loop positions itself as a local spot for young professionals, sports fans, and others to have great food, watch a game on the big screens, or enjoy the energetic happy hour atmosphere. Unfortunately, they found customer awareness of their extensive offerings lacking. The Loop needed a site that called attention to all that they offered, with an emphasis to the unique social atmosphere the Loop provides to all its customers. Overall, Ackmann & Dickenson needed to create a site that would cut through the competing bar and restaurant website monotony.

Approach:
In order to showcase The Loop’s social ambiance, we utilized our own photographer in a series of photo sessions on location, taking shots of food, the interior and exterior, and most importantly, customers enjoying their local haunt. From there, we upgraded the site design to feature the photography and call attention to the different offerings The Loop provides. The hours and location, essential to any restaurant, are featured on every page at the top, and focused calls-to-action bring the user to the most important parts of the site.
Outcome:
The Loop’s new site stands out against others in the restaurant industry with its unique design, photography-driven layout, and focused messaging. Now visitors to the site can see what great things the Loop has to offer. The site launched to great success on June 8, 2011.
