Challenge:

To transform the Keyhubs web presence and brand to reflect the level of sophistication this start-up has reached in its early development. Keyhubs works with organizations to find the informal networks that drive productivity, seeking out key players and uncovering the “hidden” org chart. Using a custom application, they then create charts that map these workplace relationships. At first, Keyhubs only provided their clients with maps of their findings, but soon discovered that clients wanted more—they sought Keyhubs’ expertise in workplace social analytics to interpret the results and offer consultations. How should this shift from a company with an online tool to a consulting firm of experts be represented in a new website and branding?

Approach:

Ackmann & Dickenson launched a branding effort that started with a new logo and pushed the brand design into the website’s new look and feel. The new brand had to be modern and professional while at the same time approachable and relatable. Once we understood the organizational development industry and Keyhubs’ innovative role within, we tackled the design challenges and worked iteratively with Keyhubs to reach an effective design. Working from Keyhubs’ business needs, we created simple, intuitive navigation and flow.

Outcome:

The “new” Keyhubs brand and website were unveiled in early 2011. The upgraded brand showcased Keyhubs’ expertise and customer-centric sensibilites. The new web presence, with its clean navigation and flow, reflected the Keyhubs sophistication and experience.
