Challenge:

To work in conjunction with Little & Company’s creative team to develop a content-manageable web site for Clinic Sofia – a women’s health-centric medical practice in Edina, MN.

Targeted opportunities:

• Work in conjunction with Little & Company staff to advise on technological opportunities in the web site planning and design phases
• Provide guidance on best practices with regard to web site planning and design
• Develop the site on the WordPress platform, with strict adherence to design files as provided by Little & Company
• Train staff at Little & Company and Clinic Sofia on WordPress platform

Approach:

Our approach was to work iteratively with the Little & Company team. We met at least weekly to review progress – whether it was their architecture or design process, or our development process. Communication was open, fluid and respectful of what each party’s role was on the project.

Outcome:

Clinic Sofia successfully soft-launched in July of 2010 to rave reviews from Little & Company and Dr. Block of Clinic Sofia. We launched the Clinic Sofia Community in October of 2010. Little & Company conceived of a place where patients of Clinic Sofia could go and discuss issues related to women’s health, pregnancy and motherhood. Clinic Sofia would not only monitor conversations, but contribute to starting conversations to spur new topics, disseminate new research, and post links to articles that are interesting/relevant. We seeded the community with Ackmann & Dickenson employees, Little & Company employees and Clinic Sofia employees and now the community is live to the world, and we are happy to say that participation is climbing.
